Currently resides half and half in Japan and
Country Side of New York State, near Woodstock.
 

Dorothy debuted as a cowgirl in 1999 with an album,
"I'm A Cowgirl" out of New York down town art scene.
Album explored the imaginary Cowgirl Land in collabolation with her friends
and New York Jazz musicians.
Followed by sold out First Concert at Joe's Pub, New York Public Theater,
She performed at FEZ under Time Cafe, Colombia University,
Texas Rodeo Tour and others in the years of 2000 - 2002.
Songs developed through these years have recorded in Second album,
 "Cows in the Sky" Released in 2003, followed by Cows in the Sky Concert at Joe's Pub.
She toured Japan for the first time with her band in 2004
 
Dorothy Cowfield pays her visit to old time American hits in Third Album,
"No Broken Dreams" released in 2006.
