In No Broken Dreams, Dorothy Cowfield sings classics from the country and cool songbooks of music from the United States.  Carried by an exceptional band of musicians, Dorothy gives a languid twist to songs ranging from Spanish Harlem to San Francisco Blues to Tennessee Waltz to Blue Moon to Willie Nelson’s Crazy.  Above the beautiful but sparse musical arrangements, often featuring an array of fine guitar playing from Artie Traum, Jerome Harris, Fooch Fischetti (pedal steel) and Shu Nakamura, Dorothy floats tidal investigations of emotions that come and go with mistakes, both of one’s own and of others, especially about love, attachment, separation and loss.  She strokes the waves of relationships but also the lulls that follow and can plunge to depths of sadness. i really enjoyed singing this song with Mr. Artie Traum playing his Acoustic Guitar.
i didn't know the lyrics of Tennessee Waltz until I really paid attention to this song.
Being Japanese, I usualy avoid songs with many words.
Because it's just simply too hard to remember.
Then I really paid attention to the lyrics. I fliped! It has a complete lost love story within 8 lines.

Artie and I discussed how we want to do the song.
Initially I wanted to do it as a blues, cause it's a blues story.
So made copy of Ella and Joe doing it as blues.
Artie comments they are such a show off.
Then we settled in this plain most manner for delivering this master song.

On the recording day, sitting next to Artie was such a grounding experience.
I felt that I sat in front of a microphone as a pure singer for the first time.
