          The Band




I always wanted to sing some songs that my mother knew but never felt ready for it. But now, finally, I do.  On our new album, we have covered some good old-time American hits.  Songs that I felt were truly masterpieces.  Songs I feel that I may never be good enough to sing.  The aim was for true simplicity so we kept the arrangements as minimal as possible.  My mother heard them and she liked them.  The album features master Guitarists Mr. Artie Traum, Mr. Jerome Harris & Mr. Shu Nakamura, and my mentor Drummer / Percussionist Mr. Pheeroan akLaff.  Special guests, Mr. Robbie Dupree, Mr. Steve Gorn, and Mr. Fooch Fischetti.  I hope you like it.
